middle school memories essay

I have had many good memories throughout my life, many of them in middle school.  I have had so many good memories in school and out of school as well. But I have three memories that top them all, that I will remember forever.

One of the memories is 6th grade band class. It was so fun; we were always laughing and messing around. In 6th grade for band the drummers were in the afternoon and everyone else in the morning. So we had about 12 kids in the class that’s it. Plus they were all hilarious so we never had a dull moment.

Another memory would be when we won the championship in 6th grade. We had a very good season and got revenge on a team that nobody likes, and it was the first a team from Atlantic won. I know I will never forget that and I don’t think anyone else will either.

Then the third memory would probably have to be the other championship game we played in during 7th grade year. But that isn’t as good of a memory because we lost. We had a good season that year and I will never forget it because it was MY best year.

Well those are my most treasured memories that I will always remember. I have many more that will always be cherished but those three will always be my favorites.

proudest moment essay

                                     MVP

I have been a part of many great things in my life. But none have made me as proud of myself as one thing. It was when I was named team MVP last year. It was when I was in 7th grade and was my second year in U-13, and my 4th year playing lacrosse.

That year was my best year ever. I had set my own personal records by a lot. I was named team captain along with 3 other players.  I had 28 goals and 10 assists in only 9 games. This was leading the team in goals by 11 and 3rd in assists. We made it to the championship for the second year in a row, but this year we didn’t win.

After a few weeks the team had a party for the team. It was for the players to have fun, and give out awards. They had awards for everyone but one that actually meant something. The MVP award was for the best most important player on the team that made an impact.

It was the last award so it was a long wait, but everybody knew who it was going to be. Then the coach got up there and gave his speech, and announced that it was the MVP and he said my name, Blake Mann.

Ever since then nothing better has happened to me or before that. I will always remember that moment and remember that season as long as I live. I don’t think anything will ever top that moment, or even come close to that.

Accomplishment Essay

                                     CHAMPIONS

                              lacrosse championships

I have done many important things in my life that I’m proud of. Most of them were during middle school. Athletically, and academically I am very accomplished. Academically I have gotten a 5 every year in math, and once in reading and in social studies. I have also done Math Olympiads, and gotten the highest score in that. Athletically, I have been team captain, for both lacrosse and football. I lead the team in goals both years so far, and had lots and lots of tackles on the football team this year. But the most Important to me was winning the league championship with my lacrosse team.

Winning the championship was the best moment in my life. I was so proud of myself and my team. It was the first time ever a team from Atlantic had even made it to a championship let alone win it. This was very good because the kids that played Atlantic before us have won state championships at Cape.

We had a very good season we only lost one game. That was to the team we beat in the championship. I led the team in goals to with 13, which is a somewhat good season but I have done better.

After the championship we were invited to another tournament but we weren’t good enough to win that. But just being invited to the tournament is prestigious enough.

So after all I have done in middle school and my life I am proud of myself. But If I had to pick a number one accomplishment it would be the championship winning season with the U-13 Boys Atlantic Lacrosse Club team.

  Halfback Attack

  By: Matt Christopher

Characters: Kevin, Jimmy, John, Coach Mark, Kevin’s mom, Jimmy’s mom

Plot: it was about a boy named Kevin. He played football in the youth league, on the sandpipers. The sandpipers haven’t won a game in 2 seasons. Kevin played halfback and linebacker at the beginning of the season. He was a great halfback but not so much at linebacker. He wasn’t good because he had a fear, he was scared to tackle.

So he was taken off defense after the sandpipers lost again. Then later in hopes of helping Kevin tackle coach mark took him and his son john to watch a college game. On the way back home a semi ran them off the road, and into the river. As the car began to sink with them trapped inside Kevin experienced true fear. They all got out of the car and swam to the side and got onto land.

Then the next game he didn’t get a chance to show his fear was gone. But after the game he was going home and saw an older kid picking on little Jimmy. So he ran after the boy and tackled him without thinking.

So then at the next game he was tackling everybody. The sandpipers finally won a game. Their next and last game was against the cardinals, the best team in the league. Kevin’s cousin played on the team and is the best halfback in the league. So then during the game Kevin got to play defense and stopped his cousin. With his tackling skills he led the team to a victory.

Recommendation: I would highly recommend this book to everyone. This is a good book and is very exciting. It’s short and is good for a quick read. Any sports fan will like it.

Success is counted sweetestby: Emily Dickenson

Success is counted sweetest
By those who ne’er succeed.
To comprehend a nectar
Requires sorest need.

Not one of all the purple host
Who took the flag to-day
Can tell the definition,
So clear, of victory!

As he, defeated, dying,
On whose forbidden ear
The distant strains of triumph
Burst agonized and clear!

Sleeping in the Forest
by: Mary Oliver
I thought the earth remembered me,
she took me back so tenderly,
arranging her dark skirts, her pockets
full of lichens and seeds.
I slept as never before, a stone on the river bed,
nothing between me and the white fire of the stars
but my thoughts, and they floated light as moths
among the branches of the perfect trees.
All night I heard the small kingdoms
breathing around me, the insects,
and the birds who do their work in the darkness.
All night I rose and fell, as if in water,
grappling with a luminous doom. By morning
I had vanished at least a dozen times
into something better.

Touched by an Angel

By: Maya Angelou

We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.

Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.

We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love’s light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.
